One of the most popular treks in the world, the Everest Base Camp trek has been made even more exciting by Accessible Adventures. You get the opportunity to hike across three of the world’s highest mountain passes, famously called the three passes trek, along with the Everest base camp. The three passes of Renjo La, Cho La and Kongma La stand at an altitude over 5000m and aren’t usually featured in a standard Everest Base Camp trek.
The trek begins from Lukla which we reach through a short flight from Kathmandu. The flight itself is very scenic, as you get to view the wonderful Mahalangur range from the mountains. From Lukla we begin our trek, making our way to the land of the Sherpas: Namche Bazaar. On the way to Namche though, we will be staying at Phakding for a night. We spend a total of two nights at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization purposes where we explore the ancient Sherpa settlement with its many moastaries and scenic views of the mountains.
From Namche, we make our way o Tengboche enjoying awesome views of massifs like Kantega, Kusuk, Kanguru and others. Staying overnight at Tengboche we start our climb to Dingboche which lies at an awesome altitude of 4410m. Here we stay overnight and perform some acclimatization activities to hel our bodies adapt to the thin air.
From Dingboche we walk to Chhukang through the Imja river valley which is lined with ancient remains of stone walls with a wonderful vistas view. From Chhukang we reach the first pass on our three passes trek, the Kongma la pass. The trek push this day lasts a grueling 9 hours with the highest point being the pass at 5535m. Few descend from the pass to Lobuche where we stay for the night.
Then walking to Gorakshep, we make our way to Everest base camp on the same day. The base camp is where the dreams of many mountaineers began to be actualized. After a short stay at the base camp we descend back to Gorakshep for the night. The next day we trek to Kalapatthar and after seeing one of the best views of the mountains, including Cho Oyu. Ama Dablam and ofcourse Mt Everest. The same day we go towards the another pass, although not counted officially within the three passes, Dzong La. Dzong La has a small village with a few guest houses too.
Leaving Dzongla behind, we move towards Thaknak, via the second pass, Cho La, one of the three passes at an altitude of 5420m. After descending to the village of Thaknak we stay overnight at one of the guesthouses there. From Thaknak, our next destination is Gokyo village, where after a nice sleep overnight, we make our way to Gokyo Ri the next day.
The pristine view of Gokyo lake as well as the opportunity to see mountains towering around it 360 degrees, will be etched in your mind forever. Descending to Gokyo village where we stay for the night, the next day we begin our ascent to Renjo La pass at 5360m the next day. Finally three passes have will have been completed and descending to Lumde we stay over for the night.
From Lumde we trek to Thame, where one of the most picturesque and beautiful monasteries rests. From Thame, the next destination is Lukla, staying a night over at Namche along the way. The trek officially ends here.
The adventure begins from Lukla after a short flight from Kathmandu. The path involves crossing several suspension bridges, walking through massive green meadows, rhododendron forests, and gurgling streams. Also, you'll come across through different Sherpa settlements such as Phakding, Monjo,Pangboche,Biboche, Namche, Thame, and Lungden.
Thus with the Everest base camp trek along with three passes, trekkers would have completed the Everest base camp, Gokyo lake as well as the three highest passes in the region.
Our airport representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu and s/he will be displaying an Accessible Adventure signboard outside the airport terminal. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private tourist vehicle.

It is a square two-tiered pagoda temple built on a single-tier plinth which is famous all over the world.

Boudhananath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. It was built in the 5th century with four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions keeping an eternal watch over the people and their doings. You will find Buddhist pilgrims from Tibet going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels.

We will spend a day in Namche Bazaar in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning air. We will trek a short distance to a museum that is celebrated for its exhibits of the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. We will also hike up the Syangboche Airport and the Everest View Hotel, one of the highest-placed hotels in the world. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas including Mt Everest.
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
The views of Khumbi La and Taboche are magnificent throughout the day. We should dress warmly because the cold wind blows throughout the trail. In the middle of the trek, there are two trails which divides into lower and upper trail. To continue our journey, we take left. In Phorste Thanga there are few houses and lodges. After some hours of walking, we reach today’s destination Tengboche. It is inhabited by Sherpa’s where their main source of income comes from tourism. There is an important and largest Buddhist Monastery, Tengboche Monastery where Ama Dablan lies behind.
Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
After breakfast, we start our trek towards Dingboche. Today’s trek covers 9.1Km and its an easy trail with going downhill on a fairly wide path covered with beautiful rhododendron trees. After a few hours of walk and crossing the bridge over Imja River, it takes us to Pangboche. We can see wide open areas where trekkers can view more beautiful landscapes in the whole trek. Walking trail above Pangboche, we get a magnificent view of the Himalayas and Pangboche Monastery. We move ahead towards the Imja valley and finally, we reach Dingboche.
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included

Today we climb about 8 hours to reach the top of Kongma La pass. There are two trails for Kongma La pass; one is to the northwest of Chhukung over the Nuptse Glacier moraines and other one is back to Bibre and trek on the trail above the Niyang Khola. As there aren’t any hotels, shops and tea houses, we carry our own packed foods and water. In the top of Kongma La pass we can see beautiful Buddhist prayer flags. By turning north of Khumbu Glacier, we reach Lobuche.
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included (packed lunch on this day)
Today the trail is of average level up to Gorak Shep. Before heading off to Everest Base Camp, we take lunch and rest at Gorak Shep which takes around 2 hours. If the weather is good, we will be able to see the beautiful Himalayas all-round. Then we head towards Everest Base Camp. Everest Base Camp is the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment and also the highest altitude that most will reach without a climbing permit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. The earthquake which occurred on 25th April 2015 caused some damage on the route of the Everest Base Camp. We return back to Gorak Shep for the night.
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
This will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding day of the trek. Most of this day is spent climbing Mt. Kala Patthar at 5,555 m. From Mt. Kala Patthar one can see the superlative views of Everest. After spending some time in Kala Patthar we move downwards toward Lobuche. It is a small village surrounded by Rocky Mountains and Himalayas. There are mostly old ancient type of lodges but in recent years more facilitated lodges have been opened where some of them provide internet as well as oxygen serves.
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Today we have to start our trek before 4-5 am so we can cross Cho La pass before mid-day and re-assess the hike when the weather turns bad. Today the route maybe little difficult due to high altitude and steeply loose rock. Snow may cause some problem while crossing Cho La pass and rock fall can also be the problem although weather is good. As a result you can see magnificent view from the top of Cho La Pass then we will descend to our destination Thanga (4700m/15415ft)
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
We trek to Gokyo Lake crossing over Ngozumpa Glacier (the large glacier in the Himalayan 36 Kilometers in Length). Gokyo village stands by the third lake and Cho-Oyu Mountain as a backdrop sets an amazing spectacular sight at this juncture. After lunch, you may explore around the Lake, Dudh Pokhari. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Early in the morning, we have a steep climb up to the top of Gokyo Ri at an elevation of 5,483 m. There are ample rewards for those who attempt this trip. You get stunning views of the super Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, including the giants; Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and Gychung Kang.
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
The crossing of the Renjo La Pass will be exciting and challenging as we descend into remote northern Valley where access is restricted, and the landscape is progressively that of the Tibetan Valleys beyond the border. There is a chance we will meet Tibetan Traders descending from the Nangpa La pass that leads through the Himalayas from Tibet with their caravans of woolly yaks laden with goods. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included
We start our trek after breakfast. Today, the trail will mostly descend down to to Thame. While on the trail we can see amazing snow peaks. About 150 meters above Thame, there is a Thame Monastery, a picturesque monastery set among the many homes of monks and lay people. It resides on the side of a hill overlooking the valley. This is the site for the spring celebration of the Mani Rimdu festival, held about the middle of May each year.
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Thame is a traditional Sherpa village that has escaped the crowds trekking to Everest and has one of the oldest monasteries in the region. The village is notably the hometown of Apa Sherpa who has made it to the summit of Everest 21 times! The walk itself is peaceful with excellent views of the mountains as it winds in and out of the forest on the side of the canyon. This day, we continue our journey walking down the hill from Thame. The trek will be easy and short and the final destination for the day and the trip will be at Namche Bazar.
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Finally, this is your last trekking day of the high passes trek. You'll retrace the path to Lukla via Monjo, Phakding, and Ghat villages. The trek involves an easy and comfortable walk with few short uphill climbs. You'll also come across several Buddhist monasteries, mani walls, and chortens. Enjoying the final glimpse of Mt. Everest, Kusum Kanguru, Nuptse, Thamserku, etc., you'll get back to Lukla. Once you reach Lukla, you can take a rest or stroll around the village. Later, you can celebrate your successful completion of the Everest Three High Passes Trek.
Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Depart from Lukla, with the fabulous flight to Kathmandu. Enjoy some final views of breathtaking Himalayan views and the surrounding landscape you land in Kathmandu. Drive back to the hotel, and you'll have the rest of the day for yourself. Thus, you can either take some rest or stroll around nearby places like Thamel.
Overnight at the hotel, breakfast included.
After exhausting climbing and trekking, this is a rest day for you. Get your body massaged, leisurely stroll around Thamel and buy souvenirs, visit Garden of Dreams for some relaxing time. This is also a spare day to use for flight back to Kathmandu in case there wasn’t a flight the day before due to bad weather
Finally, today is your last day in the land of Everest. According to your flight schedule, representatives from Accessible Adventures will drop you at the International Airport. With unlimited beautiful memories, fly back to your home.
