This 8 days overland tour drives through high passes above 5000 meters and offers you an experience of Tibetan culture, and take you to the significant religious sites of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries.
You will visit the beautiful lake of Yamdrok Tso on the way to Lhasa and enjoy the mesmerizing views of mountains above 8000 meters including Mount. Xisapangma, Mount. Cho Oyo and Mount. Everest.
You will spend 3 nights / 4 days in Lhasa visiting all tourist attraction places like Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery and Barkhor Market.
This will be exclusively private guided tour for 7 nights / 8 days. All the logistics of the tour including China visa, Tibet travel permits, flight arrangement will be arranged by the company itself. On day 8 you can take a flight back to Kathmandu or extend your trip to Mainland China.
This trip is feasible from the age of 10 to above 65 years. However, Senior citizens are advised to consult with the Physician if he / she has any health problem.
Early morning, drive to Kodari, the Nepal - Tibet boarder (approx. 4 hours) with the scenic view of beautiful landscape and mountains. After completing necessary boarder formalities and we will meet the Tibetan guide; and drive to Zhangmu (30 minutes), a beautiful town in Tibet. Overnight at guest house, inclusive of breakfast.
We drive to Xegar by crossing 2 passes called “Nyalamu Pass (3800 meters) and Lalung La Pass (5050 meters) from here we can see the beautiful view of Mount. Xisapangma (8212 meters), Mount. Cho - Oyo (8201 meters) and Mount. Everest. Overnight at guest house, inclusive of breakfast.
We drive to Xigatse by observing nice landscapes on the highway; and Xigatse itself is very nice town having a famous Tashilunpo Monastery, the seat of Panchen Lama, which is worth visiting. Overnight at guest house, inclusive of breakfast.
Today’s drive is quite short; but scenic; we drive to another beautiful town of Gyantse and visit Khumbula Stupa and Phalkhor Monastery. Overnight at guest house, inclusive of breakfast.
Today we drive to Lhasa by crossing 2 passes - the Kato La (5010 meters), Kamba La (4794 meters) via Yamdrok Tso Lake, the crystal lake. The view is amazing! Overnight at guest house, inclusive of breakfast.
We visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor street; all the tourists highlights that Lhasa has to offer.
Today we visit Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery. Overnight at guest house, inclusive of breakfast.
After breakfast drive to Gongar airport to board the flight to Kathmandu or you may extend your trip to Mainland China. “Happy ending of the tour”.
