Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the popular treks in Nepal at an elevation of 5364m. Trek to Everest Base Camp is an incredible to sit into the lap of the world’s highest peak Mount Everest (8848m). EBC trek has been recognized as one the best trek in the world.

A flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) initiates a trek to Everest Base Camp. Lukla Airport is the world’s most dangerous airport with shortest runway in the world. In fact, Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay walked through these trails to conquer the Mount Everest. Likewise, trekkers also step on to the same trails to climb over the Everest Base Camp.

Further, the trek on the feet begins form the Lukla to Monjo (2835) easily as the altitude descends bit. Trekkers buy tickets in the beautiful village for entrance to the Sagaramatha National Park region. The Sagarmath National Park is listed as Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Similarly, the hike starts to increase from Monjo till Namche bazar (3440m). The route keeps you thrilling with its natural beauty of the Himalayas.  They are full of stone steps especially to Namche Bazar. On the way hikers find the big rock walls written with beautiful Buddhist scriptures. Namche Bazar is the Himlayan people dominated region for instance Sherpa’s who mounts by birth.

Sherpa are strongest and quickest people to clamber the mountains who also work as porters and guides. The Sherpa tradition and culture is very beautiful as you can observe the very different lifestyle from Kathmandu. Also, trekker can buy the imitation trekking equipment’s brought from Tibet. Namche Bazar is the last valley available with pub, café, and internet services with beautiful views of the head of Everest.

To the surprise, the trek is full of beautiful and stunning suspension bridges connecting to parallel mountains. In addition, the suspension bridges are full of flare flags representing Buddhism in the area. The bridges all the way make you feel like swinging in the air. The charismatic rivers flowing down the bridges making the howling sound brings the peace.

The route is also accompanied by the Buddhist monasteries or stupas all the way to Tengboche (3860m). One of the largest Buddhist Monasteries in Tengboche is very pretty and serene. From monastery, one can see the Ama Dablang peak (The mother’s necklace mountain) and the Everest. Countless helicopters flying with people are like birds in the air. Where, you can also do meditation to feel the cool breeze touching you.

Also, the sound of wind connects you to the soul and peaceful state of mind. Hikers stay a night at Tengboche to acclimatize. The air becomes crisp and freezing. As a matter of fact, the oxygen level drops to 93% which is lesser comparatively to the sea level. The bell-sound of the Yak becomes your music all the way.

The desert-like alpine terrain, the howling sound of the wind and absence of civilization makes you feel like on the moon. Moreover, the landscape is just amazing with the spectacular sights of mountains. The journey takes you to an elevation of 4410m at Dingboche.
