Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, and then on to the Annapurna region on the enchanted Annapurna helicopter sightseeing tour. For those limited on time but would nonetheless like to experience the majesty of the Western Himalayas as well as reach one of the most famous base camps to a mountain in the world Accessible Adventure’s Annapurna Heli Tour is perfect. Along the way, you'll get to witness the gorgeous Pokhara valley. Annapurna Heli touring is one of those moments that you will remember for the rest of your life since it allows you to take in the breathtaking panorama of the Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Annapurna South, and many more. The helicopter stops at Annapurna Base Camp for about 30 minutes. During this pause, you will have the opportunity to take pictures of the mountains. Because of the danger posed by the low oxygen at the altitude, we have a limited time of around 30 minutes available to us at the base camp. As soon as the helicopter reaches the desired altitude, the panoramic vistas will cause you to lose your breath.
Since the Pokhara airport is the take-off location that is located the closest to the Annapurna sanctuary, the Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour departs from there. Taking into account the fact that the flight to the base camp takes around half an hour for one way, the heli tour lasts approximately two hours. The Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour officially begins as we soar over the picturesque city of Pokhara, located at an elevation of 1,400 meters, and gaze down onto the enchanted Fewa Lake. You will get the opportunity to catch some breathtaking sights of heavenly nature that are interspersed with the Gurung and Magar towns as you make your way down the trail. After a flight of around half an hour, you will get your first look at the towering peaks of the Annapurna mountain range, which are covered in snow. Annapurna I (8,091 meters), Annapurna II (7,937 meters), Annapurna III (7,555 meters), Annapurna IV (7,525 meters), Annapurna South (7,219 meters), and Gangapurna are fantastically seen during the trip.
The Autumn months of September through April are the best time to catch a glimpse of the mountain range's glittering peaks. At this time of year, the mountain peaks are blanketed in beautiful snow, and the glaciers and lakes are brimming with clean water that has descended from the Himalayas.
Flights are more likely to be canceled during the summer and monsoon seasons from June to August when the weather is unpredictable since the peaks are relatively dry during those times. As a result, we advise booking mountain flights during the winter (November – February) and spring (April-May) seasons.
